Introduction:
Do you have only a half day to visit our beautiful city? No problem. We will give you an overview of all the important parts.
First we take you up to the Prague Castle by public transportation, car or van - your choice. This area was first settled already during the Bronze Age, however, the first documented dwellings were built here in the 9th century. It was the home of our kings and queens for many years. Now it houses the office of the president of the Czech Republic, several museums, the St. Vitus Cathedral, the Royal Palace and more. We will walk through this "Hradcany" district viewing the Loreto, the Archbishops Palace and other interesting areas along the way to the castle. There we visit part of the St. Vitus Cathedral, walk along the 3 courtyards and admire the architectural marvel that our ancestors created. Then we walk down through the Little Quarter (erroneously called the Lesser Quarter in some literature), if you are interested, we visit the Infant Jesus of Prague, walk over the Charles Bridge via the coronation route to the Old Town Square, view the Astronomical Clock, go up the Old Town Square Tower for a magnificent view (elevator) and end on Wenceslas Square, the new part of town, "only" 600 years old.
