Introduction:

Enjoy a tour of Romania and its neighbor Bulgaria. Explore the Medieval towns
and castles that this region of Eastern Europe is famous for. Experience the
culture and history with a private local guide in each region.
The tour begins in Bucharest, the capital of Romania. After a night here and a
short tour in the morning we will start our journey to medieval Transylvania. On
the way to Sibiu we will travel on the scenic Transfagaras Highway and make a
stop at the Cozia Monastery. Upon entering Sibiu be amazed by its medieval
presence and architecture of the old square. Then moving onto Sighisoara, the
birthplace of Dracula and one of the only European citadels still in inhabited.
The
next day we will discover the Brasov county, including the famous Bran Castle
and medieval city of Brasov. The last night will be in Sinaia near Peles Palace
which was Romania's old Royal Palace.
Upon meeting your Bulgarian local guide we will continue our path of towns from
the middle ages. A full day will be spent exploring Arbanassi and Tsarevets hill
in Veliko Turnovo, the ancient capital of the country. The next day moving on to
Plovidiv to see its Roman Theatre and old town. Before ending in Sofia we will
stop to visit the amazing Rila Monstary the largest and oldest in Bulgaria.
