The Real Dracula
Halloween Tour is running again with slightly different
route than last year. Join us on an 8 day tour that focuses
on the truth and myth of the legendary Vlad Tepes starting
October 26. After a night in Bucharest we begin our journey
into Dracula's past; first we will visit his Real Castle
in Poenari,
here nestled on a mountain top with spectacular views. After
we will go to Bran Castle to see Dracula's fictional castle.
Then continuing through Transylvania visiting such places as Brasov, Borgo Pass and
Sighisoara where we have planned a
Halloween Party with a
Dracula Show, costume contest and

If you are planning a trip
for another time of year than Halloween we have many other
variations of this tour available. Starting with our 8 day
Real Dracula Tour which is an exact replica of the Halloween
tour with out the parties. If you are travelling with a
larger group we can schedule some Dracula shows and parties
on request. Otherwise we offer this tour with a private
local guide specializing in the history of the region of
Transylvania.
The Transylvania and Dracula Tour is a great 5 day private
driven excursion for anytime of the year. After we pick you
up from Bucharest the first stop we have planned is
Sinaia
where your accommodation is based on the grounds of Palace
of Peles. The next morning we will visit the Palace then go
see the famous Bran Castle, ending this day in Vlad Tepes'
birthplace town of
Sighisoara. After visiting the old town
the next day we will go to Borgo Pass where Bram Stoker
based the setting for his novel Dracula. If you are lucky
this night you will be able to view the Dracula show in the
Hotel Castel Dracula. Before heading back to Bucharest we
stop in the medieval town of
Brasov for a night.
If it is not the fictional Count Dracula you are looking to
discover in Romania, but would rather explore the footsteps
of the True Prince we have the perfect tour for you.
The
Historical Vlad Tepes Tour is a journey through the life of
the Romanian ruler from the 15th century. Starting with his
birthplace town of Sighisoara which is one of the only still
inhabited medieval citadels in Europe. After we will visit
Brasov which was one of Vlad Tepes's most prosperous cities.
Next we move onto Bran Castle, known to many people as
Dracula's Castle but this is heavily disputed. Then
continuing to Poenari Castle, situated on a cliff which is
reached by a stairway with approx 1,400 steps to the top.
Next stop on the itinerary is
Targoviste to see the
Princely
Court; Vlad Tepes' command centre during the wars against
the Ottoman Empire. Before ending the tour we go to
Snagov
Lake where there is a monastery in the middle where with
Dracula's Tomb.
Only have a few days or less to discover some attractions of
Dracula? We have some short excursions that may interest
you. On our
Weekend with Dracula Tour we can incorporate this
to join our Halloween Party in Sighisoara, stopping to visit
Bran Castle on the way back to Bucharest. Otherwise if you
only have 1 day to discover the area you can take an
excursion with a private driver from Bucharest or Brasov.
Excursions to such places as
Bran Castle, Sinaia, Brasov, or
Dracula's Tomb in Snagov Lake. Or take a
Night Tour of
Bucharest city with Dinner and a Dracula Show at Club
Dracula Restaurant.
