Balatonfüred, in the nice capital of the Northern Lake
shore. Visit the nearby Abbey of Peninsula Tihany;
fisherman's houses circle the church providing an atmosphere
from centuries ago. On the way stop to visit Herend to see
the porcelain art that is famous throughout Europe. If you
have more time take a

and spend a couple of
days relaxing in one of the many spa hotels.

Wine lovers can enjoy an
excursion to the Tokaj wine region,
which can be done on a full day tour from Budapest. The
world renown Bulls Blood comes from the Eger region and the
sweet Aszu wines are from Tokaj, both located in the hills
of the Northern Uplands. Visit the baroque monuments of the
town, the Basilica and the huge castle. Then 3-course-lunch
and wine-tasting in one of the most wonderful wine cellars.
