 Planning a trip to Eastern Europe but only have a
short time for your vacation? Whether you would like to come
for a couple of days or just a stop over as part of a larger
trip Romania is a must to add to your itinerary.
Romania can
be reached from most main destinations in Europe, many
budget airlines service routes here, such as
WizzAir,
Sky Europe,
ClickAir,
MyAir
and more. On this
edition of the
EastAdventures Eastern Europe Tours Newsletter we will explain
short breaks available in Romania.
Take a short break tour to Transylvania, in the heart of
Romania. Within about a 3 hour drive from
Bucharest you can
reach the
medieval town of Brasov. On the way stop to see
the amazing
Palace of Peles and the beautiful
Bran Castle
(also known Dracula's Castle). Then if you have time to
add-on another night spend a day exploring the local
fortified churches of
Harman and Prejmer. Or for a special 3
day tour come to Transylvania for a
weekend tour with
Dracula, this can also be adjusted to join our
Halloween
party in Sighisoara;
the birthplace of Vlad Tepes.
If you are only in Bucharest for 1 day join us for a
sightseeing tour for the day. See the city sights with a
local private guide, including stops at the
Parliament
palace and Village Museum. Or spend the day in Transylvania
for an excellent
castle experience. Other half day tours
available include
Mogosaia Castle and
Snagov Lake with the
Tomb of Dracula. In the evening join us for a special dinner
and
show at Club Dracula.
Other short breaks possible include the Northern Romania
delights of
Bucovina's painted monasteries and
Maramures
wooden churches, and the
Danube Delta.
These tours and more can also be added on to a package with
Hungary and
Bulgaria. From
Budapest take an excursion to the
wine country of Tokaj. Stay in the historic town of
Eger and
visit some of its local wineries. If you are not a wine
person
Lake Balaton is a perfect location for a short break
with its scenic and cultural sights. Then
visit Bulgaria
before ending your trip. Starting from the border you can
tour such historic towns such as
Veliko Turnovo,
Plovdiv,
Rila and
Sofia.
