Tour Itinerary:
Day 1: Arrival in Budapest. Accommodation in Hotel. Meeting
your Tour Leader and fellow travelers .In the evening - Town of Champagnes
and Wine and Welcome Folklore Party .
First of all, we go to Town of Champagnes and Wine. During our walk
in the cellar branches carved into limestone, exhibited material remains and
illustrated descriptions show the development of viticulture and the life of
winemakers from the middle ages to present day, with loyalty to history. Within
the underground cellar town with a length of 6 kilometres , those who are
interested in viticulture can visit one of the 13 Budafok Wine- and Champagne
Cellarages, and also the world’s largest fillable wooden barrel with its cubic
capacity of 102.230 litres . After all these, we are welcome you to Traditional
Folklore Dinner with an excellent meal and folklore program.
Day 2: Budapest Grand City Tour.
Optional Tour to Szentendre ,Diamond faktory with Museum of Hungarian Jewelry
.
During Budapest Grand City Tour you will see the impressive neo-gotic
house of Parliament, The Margaret Bridge, Royal Castle on the Buda side,
Fishermans' bastion , Matthias church, Citadel, Elisabet Bridge ,City-park
,Heroes' square ,St Stephen's basilica, etc.
After lunch, we offer you an optional tour to small ,but very famous baroque
city at the gate of the Danube Bend, at the meeting place of the river Danube
and the Pilis Hills - Szentendre. With a 25-minute drive from Budapest, we reach
this picturesque Artist's Village .You will enjoy the special atmosphere of this
village. We also stop at the Confectionery Museum , at the biggest in Europe
Diamond factory and Museum of Hungarian Jewellery .
Day 3:
Budapest - Vienna . Vienna City Tour. In the evening - Grinzing ( optional).
In the afternoon, we invite you for Vienna Grand City Tour. We drive
you around Vienna’s Ringstrasse, a leafy boulevard around the heart of the city
and the location of many impressive buildings, for example the State Opera
House, the Hofburg (Imperial Palace), the Museums of Fine Arts and Natural
History, the Parliament , the Burgtheater, the City Hall and the University. Our
guide will show you the most interesting and famous places of Vienna. In the
evening - we invite you to folklore dinner. Dressed in colorful costumes, the
talented musicians of the Wiener Heurigen Show, supported by 2 singers ( soprano
& tenor ) and 2 charming dancers, entertain you with a selection of famous waltz
melodies, polkas and romantic arias & duets from operettas such as " The Bat ",
The Gipsy Baron " or " The Merry Widow".
Day 4: Optional half day tour to Bratislava with traditional lunch.
Bratislava is the capital of the Slovak Republic and, with a population
of about 429,000, also the country's largest city. Bratislava is in southwestern
Slovakia on both banks of the Danube River. Bordering Austria and Hungary, it is
the only national capital that borders two independent countries, and it and
Vienna are the two European national capitals closest to one another, at less
than 60 kilometres (37 mi) apart.
Day 5: Vienna -
Salzburg via Melk with lunch in Abbey Restaurant.
On the way to Salzburg, we will visit town Melk, which has been a
spiritual and cultural center of the country for more than 1000 years, first as
a castle for the Babenbergs, then from 1089 as a Benedictine monastery, founded
by Margrave Leopold II. Arrival in Salzburg, accommodation in hotel.
Day 6: Salzburg City Tour. Departure to Munich via Herrenchiemsee.In the evening - folklore party ( optional).
The walking Salzburg City tour will impress you as you admire all the
important sights of the Old City, Mirabell Gardens, Getreidgasse with Mozart’s
Birthplace, University Square, Old Market, Residence Square with Residence
Fountain, Mozart Square, Cathedral, Cemetery of St Peter, Kapitel Square at the
foot of the Fortress Hohensalzburg. free time to explore the city by yourself.
Departure to Munich. Optional folklore evening.
Day 7:
Munich City Tour.Departure to Prague via Nurnberg.Nurnberg City Tour. In the
evening - folklore dinner ( optional).
It includes the following sights: the medieval gates, Viktualienmarkt,
Konigsplatz, Pinakotheken, Olympic Park, Nymphenburg castle (stop possible),
Schwabing, Ludwigstrasse, Siegestor, Universität, Feldherrnhalle, Englischer
Garten, Maximilianstrasse, Landtag, Oper, Residenz and Deutsches Museum.
Day 8: Prague City Tour.
Historical Prague. After breakfast , we invite you to historical center
of Prague. You will see Royal Palace,St. Vitus Cathedral, St. George Monastery
and Golden Lane. A pleasant stroll through romantic Nerudova Lane will lead you
to Lesser Town with its famous and marvelous palaces and medieval Charles Bridge
( Karluv Most). Then, all together, we come in Old Town Square surrounded by Old
Town Hall with its famous Astronomical Clock, Tyn and St. Nicholas Churches.
From Old Town Square, we continue our tour to Wenceslas Square with St.
Wenceslas statue .We finish our tour on National Museum, in the heart of Prague.
Day 9:Full day tour to Dresden with traditional lunch (
optional).
During this tour you will visit Zwinger Art Gallery where you can
admire Sixtin Madonna,the famous picture by Raffael, as well as many notable
works by the Old Masters of centuries
14–17 (Rubens, Rembrandt, Poussin etc.). After visiting the Art Gallery, we will
take a walkin historical center. During your trip to Dresden, you will get some
time to visit also
Dresden Castle, State Collection of Natural History , Museum of Ethnology etc.
10 day: Departure.
